What's new in Payroll 2.20.0

  • Compliance with revised Form W-4
  • Revised Arkansas Filing Statuses

Note: Keep in mind that the Payroll module is a standalone installation. You can upgrade the Payroll module without upgrading Sage 100. Sage 100 Payroll 2.20.0 is compatible with Sage 100 2018.5 and Sage 100 2019.

2020 Q1 tax table update

This tax table update (TTU) is available for Sage 100 Standard and Advanced version 2017. If you’re using Sage 100 2018 or Sage 100 2019, you do not need to install this TTU. With Sage 100 2018 and 2019, when the tax update is available, a message will ask if you want to install it when you start a Payroll task. Also, you can use the Payroll Tax Update utility to check for updates.

The TTU is required for federal tax filing and for filing in some states. This update impacts payroll taxes for tax year 2020.

The 2020 Q1 TTU should be installed after processing W-2 forms for tax year 2019 and before processing the first payroll in 2020.
Note: As previously stated, this TTU will not support Form W-4 for 2020. Please see this announcement for additional information.

The 2020 Q1 TTU will be the last TTU for Sage 100 2017.

2019 Interim release download

The interim release download (IRD) includes updates for the Accounts Payable module for Sage 100 2017.

For Sage 100 2018 and Sage 100 2019, the IRD includes updates for the Accounts Payable and Payroll modules.

The 2019 IRD is available for the following versions of Sage 100 Standard, Advanced, and Premium:

  • 2017.4 or later (Accounts Payable and Payroll)
  • 2018.4 or later (Accounts Payable only)
  • 2019.0 or later (Accounts Payable only)

*The 2019 IRD will be the last year-end IRD for Sage 100 2017

Download and install this update

Important: If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage 100, check with the vendor of your third-party product to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. If you integrate with other Sage products, check with your business partner or Sage to ensure that their components are compatible.
