Documentation for MAS 90

I know that MAS 90 is no longer supported, and that it was changed to SAGE 100, and *that's* no longer supported, but MAS 90 is what we have, and I could really use any documentation that exists.

Is there any place where I can download it?

(Since I have to choose a Category for this post, I chose "Data and Database" because I ultimately want to make batch data uploads into Accounts Receivable).

If you have a version that is referred to as MAS90 you should have CDs that have PDF manuals on them. Also if you don't know how to get batches to upload to AR you need to talk with a qualified consultant.

You don't mention which version of Sage 100/MAS 90 you are using. Since you say MAS 90, I would assume 4.5 or earlier.

Like most software anymore, there isn't truly a reference manual anymore. The help/documentation is built into the software.
Have you looked at the help menu?

You indicate that you want to make batch data uploads. You just want to do batches in the program or are you wanting to upload using visual integrator? To turn on batching functionality, you go go into your A/R Options settings and turn it on.

If you are asking for info on visual integrator, that can be the subject for a class.

I have a spreadsheet that's a download of customer information from the Accounts Receivable module. We've been correcting that customer info, and now we need to upload it back into MAS 90. Doing so one record at a time -- even using a VBscript -- will take something like three days. (Swapping from one customer screen to another takes about 7 seconds, and I have a lot of records.) I'm looking for a way to upload the entire spreadsheet (or large sections of it) at once.

I did look at the help menu. I didn't see anything about "batches". If it's under another name, I don't know what that is.

I don't know what version of MAS 90 that I have. I do know that we run it through a terminal emulator, so it's pre-Windows.

What is Visual Integrator? Is it included in the very old versions of MAS 90?

    Thanks.

Look for an Installed Module or Installed Applications listing within the Library Master. That will tell you the version.

Either Import Master or Visual Integrator (it's successor) woud be what you use for data import. You could export out your customer list, make changes in Excel and re-import only the customer number and changed fields. Sage will update the remaining fields.

Through 6/30 you may be able to get back on maintenance for up to 40% off or Sage will waive their upfront fee if you go subscription (starts at $45/mo /user if paid annually).

Go to File, Run and type in *INFO and it will tell you what version it is. Are you saying this is the old DOS blue screen version? If it is really old you would have Import Master (fast as blazes). If you have Import Master or Visual Integrator you would just import the file but you need to know what you are doing. Hence the need for a consultant. Where are you located.

If you are running a copy as old as you seem to suggest. If you are running the old DOS blue screen version, they actually had nice ring binder type manual back then. For each module you got another box/ring binder.

I kept mine for years, but finally got rid of them because the old product looks nothing like the current ones.

Yes, that's the one. The day I got here we looked around for the ring binders but couldn't find them.

On the plus side, I did locate Import Master. I hope I can figure out how to use if from the on-screen Help.

Where are you located? Import Master if really, really fast. You must be on Level 2 because VI came into being in Level 3 and Import Master went away.
