My company is in the Swine Industry.
We are wanting to be calculating close outs in the barns of our various farms.
What this means is say we fill Barn A at Farm 1 and then we empty it we want to be able to calculate the cost it was per pig.
Farm 1 has Barns A, B, and C which are all done at different times and we currently record invoices in AP coded to the farm (do not want to change this process).
Is there a way to track cost to a specific Barn so we can run the report knowing what that turn/fill cost us so we can determine the cost per pig?
I would assume this can be done with the Job Cost Module I am just not familiar enough with it nor is anyone on my team.
It looks as if we were doing this 10 or so years ago but stopped and no one on the accounting team was around from then.
