Reporting

Sage should be totally embarrassed by the 1980's style of reporting built in to Sage 100.  As I said, it has to be at least 40 years behind the industry.  Specifically, in the budgeting area that needs to be totally blown up and started over.  Does Sage have any plans to rebuild the reporting area? 

I am a contractor that uses a number of accounting software packages and there are some good ones out there.  Sage needs to see how reporting has changed in the last 40 years!!!! 

  • With data fully accessible through ODBC you are not limited by what Sage provides.  There are 3rd party reporting solutions that supplement Sage 100's abilities.  (Creating a software package that is all things to all people is pretty much impossible).

  • I would be curious to know what 1980's style of reporting is and what is different in the other accounting packages that makes them better.  Not saying that this may be the case but some constructive input would be nice.
