Create a company code to receive the backup. Then hit the copy button and specify which is the source and which is the destination company (don't mix them up) and which modules you wish to copy. (It is absolutely no fun to copy from a backup company back to your live company.)

Sage recommends always running year end tax documents out of the "live" company. We want all history to remain in the live company for any and all tax filings.
