I am guessing you edited the form and added a subreport and you are trying to pass a value to from the subreport to the main report. Is that correct.  Could you paste the entire formula for "Parent Description". 

While NumberVar X= 0;  is correct this is not enough information to be able to give you an answer

The formula is performing a loop which is not safely exiting or ending. You'll need to post the complete formula like BigLouie said in order to have it reviewed.

It may or may not be in a sub report, whoever edited the form should know where it is at.
