Sorry if this should be obvious but I don't understand, from your original post, whether it is running as a service or an application.

For your first update it might be worth having your Sage Partner / consultant help you through the update process as a training session.  With enhancements it is extremely important to understand the proper steps... the Sage documentation applies to unmodified systems and will not tell you how to safely deal with enhancements (like DSD...).

(Updates are always installed from the Sage server).

Thanks for the help! I ended up contacting Sage support. They walked me through it. Turns out I was accessing the wrong server and there were some instances of Sage running on the Sage server.
