Cost Code Profitability report

SOLVED

Trying to find a way to get a report or create a report in crystal that shows profitability by cost code. It seems every profit type report is by job. I see there's the job cost detail report and you can add the billing amount but it doesn't seem to be tying correctly. Sage 100c Std v2018.

JC only offers billing and profitability reports by job. Even trying the back door, the JC files only have billing data by job or in total not by cost code detail. I opened up a case with Sage and they confirmed these findings as well. They did say they Blythco and ACI Consulting have some JC mods and ACI mentions enhanced Job profitability.

I dug into it deeper and found that before updating the Job Billing Register we can get the billing detail by cost code in the JC_JobBillingDetail wrk file. Before updating, can export this data to be used for reporting elsewhere or use Sage Intelligence to dump the data in excel and then save on another tab and keep building a database. It’s messy and someone would have to remember to do this step before updating otherwise the data is gone.
