Crystal Reporting - Formula

Hi. I am trying to find a way to edit the formula in Crystal Reports that says {JC_InvoiceWrk.Description}. This will place the employee first and last name into our Job Cost invoice. However, prior to updating to the latest version (2019) of Sage, we always had the middle initial in the invoice as well. Can you please let me know how to edit this field to include the middle initial as well? All my research is coming up empty.

First you cannot edit a field. You will need to create a formula

Thank you. I was wondering if it was that simple. How do I create a formula to pull the first name, middle name and last name from Payroll and place it on the invoice I have?

I'm not all that familiar with all the links and tables involved with Job Cost but you could attempt to add a sourced UDF to JC_InvoiceWrk, you might get lucky with the relationships between the tables already being available.

Worse case scenario, you have to do all the table joins yourself. Since you are after employee info, you might have to settle for a custom report that includes the PII work table.
