Installing PR 2.18.5 in Sage 100-2018

I am new to Sage 100-2018 and we have to install this payroll update. Does this update have to be run at the server or can I do this at my workstation?

Server, you should probably install the 2019 update for payroll instead of 2.18.5.

Hi Brian, I'm just getting back into the "Payroll Biz", so to speak; if I come across a client running a 2018 system with PU 5 and PR at 2.18.5 should I recommend we install the 2019 update for PR - 2.19? I'm trying to find the documentation that says yea or nay but so far have not.
