We are having the same issue.  We just started using the payroll direct deposit and it is taking so long I thought it had stopped working.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.  We are also on 2018 Standard update 4.

This does sound odd.  In Payroll Options is there a specific path set where the ACH file is being saved and is this path to the local machine or across the network?  If you specify a local path, does performance improve?  Are there any 3rd party Payroll enhancements installed?  Does the Direct Deposit batch being processed contain a large amount of data?

The best way to figure out what is happening would be to contact Sage 100 Customer Support.  They can work with you to try and identify the issue and if necessary request data to try and duplicate it to find a resolution.

Are you also using the Manually Send ACH File option to process Direct Deposits?  If so, please see my earlier post in this thread.  If you are using the Sage 100 Direct Deposit Service then please contact Customer Support so that they can work with you to try and identify any issue.

There was a defect on version 2.18.4.0 and prior payroll regarding direct deposits.  It was noted there was slowness due to the number of entries this issue caused.  Take a look at kb's 93539 or 93616 to Download PR6007t for version PR 2.18.4.0 to fix this issue.  This will also be fixed on PR update 2.18.5.0 when released targeted for Nov 2018.

Linda - that fix indicates it is only the Payroll Register Update program.  I'm going to install and try, but just concerned because the issue is actually during the "Direct Deposit Processing" menu option.

Beth, yes the program was the payroll update program.  The steps in kb 93539 were how we duplicated the issue and the fix was for that specific issue.   This may be something unreported.  Contact support so additional troubleshooting can be done.

I have several clients with the same issue.  I have yet to come across a resolution for the problem.  They are all on Manually send to bank, some and large number of employees (250+) some average(50+).  The most recent is on 2.19.1  Any help would be wonderful!
