Explorer Views not showing data; giving error

Looking at any views in Explorer for our main company works fine. However, in our test company (which should be a recent copy of our main company), when you click on any view, the screen shows no details and when you close the window, you receive Providex ODBC Driver PVKIO Logon Failed.  We are using Sage100 4.5.  Any ideas why our main company is working but not our test company?? Thanks.

    Hi Loretta,

    So when you say no detail it makes me think that your upper grid is showing data but the lower grid, which should be showing detail of what is selected in the upper grid, is not.  Is this the case or is the upper grid blank as well?  I'm not sure why that might matter, but it could help troubleshoot.

    What is the Operating System and version of MS Office?

    The first thing I would check is the Role, to make sure the user has access to that company, and whether you are using ODBC Security.

    Have you tried Google?  I ask because I just did and found a great post by Wayne "The MAS 90 Guru" Shulz that suggests you look at this:

    "MAS was launching in XP Compatibility mode. Once disabled, error went away. MAS 200 4.3 on same server (2008 R2) works fine in compatibility mode. Appears that only 4.5 (all PU’s) has this issue."

    Doubt it is related to operating system.  I can open the views fine in one company, but not in another. And I have the same role available in both companies.  There is no detail in upper or lower grid and then when I exit that blank screen, I get the logon failed error message.

    I know this will sound non-applicable,  but I had the same exact situation (or at least it sounds like it).  

    My last desperation gasp was to reinstall/(repair) at the server.   Made no sense to me with it working in one company but not the other, but it worked.
