Program fix question

SUGGESTED

Should this program be installed on the server's MAS90 folder?  Typically, the installation path will default to the MAS90 folder, but this is not the case for this program fix.

    Yes it should.

Sage 100 Program Fixes will attempt to identify the path to Sage 100.  When the installer prompts you to enter the path, one of the following is often responsible.  We did confirm and download the fix and installed it on Sage 100 2021.0 and 2021.1, and it correctly identified the path and installed.

    • The Program Fix is not being executed on the Sage 100 Server. It must be run from the Sage 100 Server, not a workstation or other system.
    • The version of Sage 100 on the Sage 100 Server does not match the version of the Program Fix. For example, if you try to install this fix on Sage 100 2020.0 or 2020.1, you will either receive a message right away that the Program Fix is for a different version of Sage 100, or you may first receive the installation Path to edit, then followed by the incorrect version message.
    • There is more than one version of Sage 100 installed on the Sage 100 Server. For example, Sage 100 2020 and Sage 100 2021 are both installed (in different locations) on the same Server.  The Installer will often be able to determine the correct version and location to install to, but if it is unable to, it will prompt you to browse to the ..\mas90 path and continue.  The installer may prompt with other appropriate messages.
    • For some other reason, the installer could not correctly identify the path.  Browse to the  ..\mas90 folder and select next.  The installer will provide other information if it is not able to proceed.
