'Error 14 Program *updater\windx.upd Line 5540' during synchronization step on new workstation

SOLVED

The other day I was setting up Sage 100 on a user's workstation when I received the following message:

The following error has occured:

Error 14 Program *updater\windx.upd Line 5540

Contact your system administrator

I've tried reinstalling Sage and have not had this issue on any other workstation. I get the error message when running from an administrator windows and sage user account with the program in administrator mode. When the user tries to run this, it fails during the synchronization step but I don't believe she sees the error box. The location we install Sage from is on a network folder, and the installation/synchronization process is usually the same for all users. I've confirmed that my administrator user account is able to get past this step on other machines.

Has anyone dealt with this error before?

Thanks, I'm gonna mark this as the answer since it's hard to find info on this error.

It turned out that the machine needed to be connected via ethernet to do the initial synchronization. Once I moved the machine to my workstation and ran it while connected it synchronized successfully, and then after moving it back to its original location on wifi it was able to connect with no problem

    SUGGESTED

I had exactly this issue after Upgrading Sage 2017 to 2019 with 1 of my users.

The Possible Resolution 1 fixed my issue in that computer, in my case I deleted the file instead of renaming it:

1.Open folder ..\MAS90\Home\Lib\_Updater on the server
2.Rename the file that begins with the workstation's IP Address and Network ID (Computer Name)

I am having this exact issue on a new workstation.

    How did you resolve it?

Neither of the solutions offered by toddt are working for me.

    Thanks
