Do you have the correct permissions to customize panels? If so try pressing Ctrl-F9. That also brings up the customizer. By the way, you do not need to add to both panels. Once you add to Maintenance, it will show on the Inquiry.

i hit Ctrl-F9 and another popup comes up, where i select, create new customized panel, and has me as the user, and i click on the two all buttons so the changes can be seen by all users.  i then click ok, and another popup comes up , which reads .. The requested program is not installed on this system.    How do i get this program? is it an add on? or a permissions thing?

Might be permissions but it sounds like you might need to reinstalll the Custom Office module or Library Master

we are on version 4.5 and apparently you cant just reinstall the custom office module or library master, they will need to re-install MAS90, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

One question, are you already using the 4 built in UDFs in Inventory?

no, i just added them to ci_item but never got to use them, no data on them.

Inventory has 4 built in UDFs. If you go to the Inventory Setup Options you will see them. Once you put in a description they become active on the Inventory Maintenance and Inquiry panels.

are they the ones on the additional tab?  if so, yes they are being used.

oh, i guess we are not using them.  it looks like they are only 10 charecters long, is there a way to change the length of them?
