Renovo vs Intelligence Reporting/Report Writer

SOLVED

Sage 100 2014 - Server 2008

I am finally finding acceptance in letting go of Frx.  I had to go through all the steps of grief. LOL.  I have used FRx since the 90s.  But it's time to move on, obviously.

I have watched both Youtube presentations of Renovo and the Intelligence Reporting.  From what I can understand Renovo is like a FRx clone, is pricy, 5.500 not including  conversion.  Intelligence Report is affordable, but is only Excel and I would most like have to recreate create all 40 FRx reports.

The pros of Intelligence Reporting is that it's a part of Sage and probably will not go away, while Renovo is privately owned and there is the worry they might drop or not support the product after a large investment of time and money.

I am looking for people's experience and thoughts on this.

Thanks much

I started using SAGE Intelligence early on, and, at first, it was not much to look at.

However, times and the product have changed!

SAGE Intelligence has grown to be a powerful reporting tool and has surpassed FRx (and Crystal) 10-fold.

Recreating and migrating FRx reports has become simple, so it is well worth the "trouble".  FRx produces "flat", non-dynamic reports, whereas SAGE Intelligence can be "alive" and dynamic; you can change years and periods and see the data change accordingly.  I have created Excel workbooks with linked management reports that all change based on the year and period in one place on one worksheet......and SAGE Intelligence is continually growing in functionality.

    ...that has been my experience.....

You can import your FRx reports into Sage Intelligence with a few steps and a few formatting adjustments now too, which is the reason I'm telling my clients it is time to let our friend, FRx go.  :-)
