Can I report on multiple companies, that are on multiple servers?

I have a client that is basically holding company, several companies, each with their own Sage server.

They are wanting to do consolidated reporting in Sage Intelligence, for all companies.  Can this be done?  If so, how?

  • You can do Consolidated Intelligence report but all the companies have to be under 1 install.

If you copy the MAS_xxx folders to one install you can run consolidated reports.

Yo will also need a license for the Connector.

Thank you.  I have an acquaintance say that they designed a SQL stored procedure that pulls all the GL data over to one of their servers.  Of course, this would only work if you are premium.  But thanks, you confirmed what I was pretty sure of.

No reason to move any folders. Using the connector, you can create multiple DSN connections to different sources and then combine them in SI.

Hopefully all the servers are in the same data center... because SI is slow enough on its own.  Over a VPN link, I could only imagine.

I kinda wondered about that too.  But the slowness that Kevin mentioned below, may be why they pushed the GL data over so that it was all on the same server.

If you are doing this over VPN and each server is in a different location then I would look at a sync of data to a single location to be reported from for data mining (which is what Lisa had said they did). It was only mentioned that there were multiple servers but nothing about different locations of those servers which is why I commented to just have different DSN connections.
