Production Management upgrade path (PM v2020 to v2022+)

SOLVED

We have a few customers running the v2020 version of Production Management (i.e. the ScanCo version).

At some point, I received the following note (but cannot remember the source):

"If you're upgrading from the standalone version of Production Management that was previously available, you must be on version 2021.x of the standalone version before upgrading to the Production Management module that is part of Sage 100 2022."

Can someone tell me if this is still the case?  Or was this limitation resolved with one of the v2022 product updates?

Going through a middle-step migration is obviously something we'd like to avoid (...especially for the Premium clients, since that would require a 3rd SQL instance for v2021).

So I have to ask as I did a test run from PM 2020 to PM2022 and everything converted over and in testing seems to be working.  What did not converting to 2021 then 2022 break?  To Kevin's point I'm not going to have to uninstall 2022, install 2021, reinstall 2022 and hope between versions.

    Greetings,

Converting J/T to P/M without being on the level of J/T Sage 100 requires could cause data integrity issues as the J/T data dictionaries and tables may not match what Sage 100 expects.  Even if there were no errors reported during conversion there could still be data issues.

    Thank you,
    Kent
