Trying to figure out if there is a way to reserve a portion of a LOT Number for Make to Stock finished goods. For instance:

The company I work for makes paint. If we make a batch of a particular color, give that batch a LOT Number and enter it into Inventory Maintenance for sale, but want to reserve a portion of that LOT to use in another color paint we make, is it possible to earmark say a drum or two of that original color not for sale?

The caveat to this is that we have the Manufacturing module and we make our Work Tickets in Sage and have dynamic inventory tuned on. So, when we make a batch, we make it in lbs. and that is automatically piped into inventory when the Ticket is closed.
