Contact MAPADOC for this.  They would have to adjust the table settings to allow imports.

Thanks, I'll reach out to them this week. For future reference, is there any documentation on how to alter these settings manually, or is it something that has to be done when MAPADOC is being compiled? I'm new to this role/software, and may want to be able to do similar things in future projects

If a third party master developer creates new tables as part of their modification it is up to them to create a data dictionary for that table so that it can be used in other process such as VI.

You don't use that table directly.  Import your full long descriptions into the normal table (like CI_Item) and the Sage programming will create / update the extended description records automatically.

Oh, and you might need to click this checkbox on the job's tab 1 for it to work.

This allows VI to see more characters than will fit into the normal field size.
