Creating a VI Job to delete old vendors

Question

Hello 
 I am trying to create a VI Job that will delete a long list of vendors with whom we have not done business in over 7 years. 
 I've "created" the job and imported the data from my list but get an error. Sage does not like my thinking. 
 
 Here is my current VI Job:

 Here is what happens when I run the job in a practice company, it says all records imported:

When i look at the job log, is says the ending vendor # failed. 
 
 I am guessing Sage wants me to put in a "range" of vendors rather than enter vendors one at a time. I do not want to do that. When I use the Delete/Change Vendor utility to enter vendors, I do not need a range, I can enter them individually as shown here:

What am I missing here? Calling all VI Job Brainiacs!

You do need the Operation field. As Kevin said you can do a manual entry and then use DFDM to inspect the file and record to see what values are set into specific fields. You can also check the online file layouts.

 You also need to include the LineNo field otherwise you end up with just the one row as you found out. You can set the LineNo field to use Incr Assign.

Create a new Import job using Visual Integrator and select the AP_DeleteChangeVendors table. 
 The following fields will need to appear on the Data tab in the following order: 
 LineNo (Set Operation to &lsquo;Incr Assign&rsquo;) StartingAPDivisionNo StartingVendorNo EndingAPDivisionNo NewAPDivisionNo EndingVendorNo NewVendorNo Operation (Values can be "1" or "2". 1 is to Delete, 2 is for Change/Merge)
