The current period is 11-2021, but when I tested to change the accounting date to 1/5/2022, the box message said 1/5/2022 does not fall within the current and one future period for the module (10/1/2021 to 11/30/2021). I expect the current and one future period should be 11/1/2021 to 12/31/2021. What did I miss? Please help!
I can't remember which one applies, but take a look at the AR period and GL period to see if they are different.

That setting does not refer to posting dates or transaction dates. Just the module date.
Also known as Accounting Date, which is what is referenced in her error message above.
So AmandaZ, are you getting this error when you try to set the Accounting Date when it pops up, or when you try to post a journal and change the Posting Date for the Journal?
I'm getting the message when I try to set the Accounting Date to test. At the first, I just thought the message will confuse people. But I just tried to change the date to 12/31/2021, I still got the message. The current period is 11/2021...
FYI - you can still post a journal in any periods. This doesn't restrict changes to the general ledger posting date.
