Purchasing a Sage 50 Pro download from a store, probably Best Buy or Staples (Canada). Will I get charged every year for an upgrade? If I want payroll I believe that is extra. Will I have to pay to update that every year?

Is there a way to access payroll data the goes further back than just 2 years? I'm using Sage 50 Quantum Accounting (Release 2019.3) and need data for an investigation that goes back to 2015. So far my payroll reports only go back to 2017. Thanks!
