Unfortunately, they aren't able to track down their serial number for the 2014 version, so it's stuck in trial mode.  They seem to have the serial numbers for 2009 version and prior, but not the 2014 upgrade license.  Probably isn't a way to recovery that or ask Sage support for it?  They were already moving off the Sage 2014, but were in the process of migrating the rest of the data.

If they created a backup from 2014 in a .bku file, would the installation code, etc be contained? Any way to extract .bku without a full sage install?

JakeCourtney, a backup does not 'usually' contain the reinstall code, though it 'could.' Just depends on if they firm put a copy of it in the database folder.

The BKU is just a ZIP file.  You can change the extension and unzip it if you would like.

But the easiest way to access the content is just to open that database in a version of Timeslips 2014 or higher (it will convert if higher).

So all you need is someone with a valid Timeslips license of a version higher than 2013.
