"Not responding"

Question

When I add a new client, the program will freeze for a few seconds and in the top 
 left-hand corner, it states "Not Responding". 
 
 This is a brand new laptop, and I am using Timeslips 2020. 
 
 Thanks so much for any insight you can give me.

Go to setup - general and see if you have it set to do conflict checking. They could be it. Not responding often just means thinking.
