What does Amicus Attorney do in Timeslips

SUGGESTED

We have an attorney who talked to an attorney from another office and now there is talk about ditching TS Premium for TABS3 w/PracticeMaster because TABS3 will have a document management system.  I am the sole Billing Clerk and handle all of the bill for 8 attorneys and DO NOT want to switch to a different time and billing system just to add on a document management system.   I asked my office manager to see if there are document management systems compatible with TS and she says there is not.  I don't know what document management systems do or what features it adds on to a time and billing system.  I have done some research and see that Amicus Attorney is compatible with TS Premium (our current version) and would like to know if this is comparable to PracticeMaster.  I don't know any specific features the attorney is looking for w a doc. management system, no one has consulted with me about it.  The only thing I was told was that you could create word docs. within TABS3 using PracticeMaster.

Can anyone please help me understand document management and give me some tools to pass along if Amicus Attorney or another document management system is compatible with TS Premium to avoid this disaster?!

Thank you very much!
