Is it possible to export data from TimeSlips (2011) in native format?

Posted By FormerMember

I am wondering if it's possible to export data billing data rom TimeSlips in native format and if so, how would I do it and what's the best mechanism to save it on?  A DVD?  How would the receiving party view it if they do not have TimeSlips or is it recommended to only export into Excel? Thank you.

The data would not be readable outside the program. Parts might be able to be read since it’s a paradox database but you couldn’t easily put the pieces together in a meaningful way and there’s information in “blob” fields that can’t be read at all outside the software.

What exactly is your goal here? What do you mean by "native format"? Perhaps we can accomplish your goal another way.

What information do you need? Slips, payments, invoicing, client information? All of it?

A full backup of the database will be readable by any version of Timeslips 2011 or higher.

Without a copy of Timeslips to read the data, you really would be looking to export to ASCII/CSV.
