Hello, i am a student and i am trying to install sage 50 superior version 2016 student version on my personal pc and it never seems to work. I always get a Bad Key File window that pops up or, a window saying i need to install another software before. I did the student clean up several times and re-installed it.

    Hello ,

Thank you for contacting us. If you're getting "Key file not found" or a "Bad key file" message when opening Sage 50, then you'll need to perform a clean re-install. You're better off making sure that Sage 50 is wiped from your system.

After uninstalling by using Control panel > Programs and Features, use the Microsoft tool called "Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed**

    Download this From <https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed>

Select the uninstall option and then once the programs list, ensure that Sage 50 isn't on that list. Run it several times if you need to. Once all references to Sage 50 are removed, see the KB 10407 linked here for further steps.

If you still require help, you can call into Sage 50 support at 1-888-522-2722, just let an analyst know that you're a student with an install issue getting the error "bad key file". Hope this helps!

    Warm Regards,
