Thank you for your post. If you indeed purchased Sage 50 2018 and have a serial number... then it's a regular version that can be activated online by following the steps found here:

The student version of Sage 50 CA is activated differently. However, you can use the same download / install file as with the regular version.

We are currently working to resolve an issue affecting receipt of activation codes for students looking to use Sage 50 Canadian Student Edition. The site affected is found here: https://www.sage.com/en-ca/about-us/education/

We have a workaround available, please contact [email protected] for assistance. You would be given a different serial number and activation code for the 14 month use of the student edition.

Please help me. I have got as far as the 23-character key code then the screen Welcome opened but it went to program for 14 months and now the Sage icon on my laptop won't open. Please help

Thank you for your question. Please ensure that all your Windows updates are installed, then try right clicking the Sage 50 icon and select run as admin.

Note that Students may receive support for installation issues only at 1-888-222-8985. Complimentary technical support is not included with the Sage 50 student version. Please contact your instructor for assistance should more help be required.
