Does anyone knows how update Sage 50 Student version from 2017.0 to 2017.2?

I have downloaded the Sage 50 Student version 2017.0 from Education Partner Program (https://www.sage.com/ca/about-us/education), but there have only version 2017.0.

At my college, the Sage 50 version is 2017.2 which impedes me from continuing to learn at home. When I choose Help > upgrade my Sage 50 Product, the program opens a window to inform a key code of full version.

Thank you in advance for any contribution or idea.

    Hello

    Thanks for reaching out!

Students  and schools should avoid installing updates of their software.

Both the educational and student versions of Sage 50 installs are not meant to be updated. The update link to 2017.2 has been retired. Your next best option is to go to https://www.sage.com/ca/about-us/education and register for 2018.0 codes and install that version which can co-exist on your machine with the 2017.0. When you bring files in from school, the Sage 50 2018.0 will upgrade the file to 2018.0... Ideally your school also installs this version and remains on it.

How to turn off update settings
To turn off settings which automatically prompt for updates go to Help > About Sage 50 > click for more Support Info > Modify Product Update Settings to uncheck the Automatic download / install settings.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you, Erzsi.

Updating Sage 50 at College is not required because they have both 2017.2 and 2018 versions.

Installing the 2018 version will certainly fix the problem as it is a newer version.

I only doubt if when I back up to work in college or to deliver the assignment to the teacher the problem will not return. I assume that the teacher is using the 2017.2 version as it is the version required for the course.

Ideally, the 2018 version would work in compatibility mode with the 2017.2 version files without updating the version when it was backed up.

Anyway, thank you for your promptness and willingness to help. I'll try your suggestion.

    Best Regards,
