Challenge Question (20200309) Topic: Smart Linking in SAP Crystal Reports

If you’ve worked with linking tables in SAP Crystal Reports, you may remember having to delete the default link _zfilter. This brings me to this weeks question. How can you stop having _zfilter as the default linking field when you select more than one table in your report?

Answer:

The automatic linking is referred to as smart linking. From within Crystal Reports, navigate to File > Options > Database tab > Advanced Options section. Deselect the checkmark in ‘Automatic Smart Linking’ and click Ok.

No more deleting links!
