Question Asked Answer Given
I would like to know how to group more data into the crystal reports You can use the Group Icon to create as many groups as you need in your SAP Crystal Report. Just know that the groups are always in hierarchal order, meaning that Group 1 is always the first grouping, Group 2 will group within Group 1, and continuing groups will further group down the hierarchy.
Can you put the record nunber in the details and report footer Great question! You can! You can add the same field in multiple locations.
I would love more crystal webinars using the HRMS payroll data bases.  Also how to understand payroll data bases.  WOULD LOVE A WEBINAR ON THE NEW Federal W4 form and how Sage HRMS is changing entering W4 information -- also how can I use the previous W4 forms and the 2020 W4 forms in HRMS.  I'll forward all of this to Lynn!
How do I lable the LEVELs You can label the levels (which is a tongue twister...try saying that 5 times fast) by using the p_level1 to p_level5 fields. You can also use the _level1 to _level5 fields for the description.
I want to learn the payroll data bases - be able to bring payroll info Those are in the Data Dictionary as well but is a bit more complex. I'll let Lynn know as this would be a great subject!
I missed how to change the level names or name the level? You can name the p_level by going into Setup > System > Enterprise Setup and changing the names from there. You can change or add to the Levels by going into Setup > Employees > Organizational Levels.
I didn't catch where Lynn accessed the Data Dictionary... Lynn went to Reports > System > Data Dictionary. From there, she printed out the Files list and Fields list.
I don't have a data dictionary in my system If you don't see Reports > System, check with your IT person or HR Manager and make sure you have access to the System area of HRMS. If you still are not sure, give our Support folks a call and they can look into it with you.
I have Reports>System, but there is nothing in it, same thing? Yep! Just let whoever is the HRMS administrator know and they can add the System Reports to your Security Group. That will give you the Data Dictionary reports.
My Crystal Report does not show field explorer. It shows report explorer. At the top of your Crystal Report you will see an icon that looks like an Excel report...this is your Field Explorer. Just hover over it and you should find it!
I would be interested in more training on Crystal Reports from ESS Great suggestion! One of my favorite topics. :)
I have run a report and it is missing info.  I believe I know which field info is missing from but how do I find out where in my data entry sections this field is?   The Data Dictionary should take care of this for you. You can access it by going to Reports > System > Data Dictionary.
In the data dictionary, What did you say was the name of each section, like PE?   The name of each section is on the File Report of the Data Dictionary. You can use that and the Fields Report to get all of the goods on HRMS fields and tables.
