Update: September 6: EEO -1 Component 2 Compensation Data - for 2017 and 2018 must be reported by September 30, 2019
For our customers with only Human Resources implemented: A file import of the payroll data will be required, the Template Instructions and Import Template can be found within the Knowledgebase Article ID 97142.
Note: The template instructions and Import Template applies for both Sage Abra Suite 9.2 and Sage HRMS 2017.
For all Sage HRMS and Sage Abra Suite customers that uses the software for Human Resources and Payroll an update is available, which will include the new EEO-1 Component 2 changes.
To access the hotfix, you can login to Sage Knowledgebase and enter Knowledgebase Article ID listed below (please make sure that you select the correct Article ID based on the current version that you are running of the software.)
Within the zip file that you will download from the Knowledgebase will include the following:

Update: August 1: For our customers with only Human Resources implemented: A file import of the payroll data will be required. Our Sage HRMS and Sage Abra Suite customers will be provided a template to import the payroll data (as required by the specifications). The specifications of the file will be released on Monday, 8/5/2019. You will need to contact your payroll provider and ensure the data required for the EEO-1 component 2 report can be exported from the payroll product (for 2017 and 2018). Inform your payroll provider that Sage will be providing a template for the import of the payroll data that will meet the requirements of the final efiling specifications from the government.

Update July 12: We have received the electronic reporting specifications and are currently working on the coding aspects to include EE0-1 Component 2 in our application. We will continue to post significant updates as a separate post so that the updates are not missed.

I ran 2017 with no issue, but when i ran 2018 i got an Invalid Data message, and looked at the report and i'm not sure what i'm looking at to fix it. I believe it lists EMPLOYER, EMPNO ..then i'm not sure what the rest of the data is, did you resolve?
your error report probably has Company, Empno, Wages, Hours.
I found the Invalid Data Error typically indicates the employee had wages in the reporting year but worked 0 hours.
Just go to the employee Current Pay tab and select the PAy band associated with the wages for the employee on the report. That will prepare the employee for the EEO-1 Summary Headcount Report.
The error message usually says to correct employee data and rerun the Update Pay Data. This is WRONG. Update Pay Data report will not change so there is no way to ensure that you made all corrections other than to review each employee number manually.
Thanks, that makes sense with this employee, hours were 0. I changed the pay band and re-ran but it did come back with the same error. Do i also change the hours worked on the Current Pay tab? I also found in the Sage knowledgebase it's because the justification of the fields is off btw hrpersnl and upempl. Which is true, but that's the case of all employees. So you said that i don't have to rerun the Update Pay Data, and i can just continue with the next steps, it seems like Headcount Detail is still 2017 data? Thanks!
