I'm having an issue with my asset list not appearing. The database I assume is linking because I'm able to run a report. When I try to view assets, the main listing screen is either blank or it's telling me that a company must be opened to access assets. I can still run a report after the system says a company must be open.Has anyone else ran into this? I also have our IT guru looking into this. Thank you!
There were some issue with the asset list being blank in 2019.1, but the was fixed in the 2019.1.1 update. Have you update the client side to 2019.1.1? If not, Please see KB ID:96106 How to apply the 2019.1.1 update
Thanks! Embarrassed to say we just discovered we are on 2012 so have feeling that may be an issue. My computer software in general may have upgraded and now FAS is rebelling. (Why do I wait until the end of the month for entries?) Do you know what would be the best way to get downloads? Our IT is trying to locate a contact name for our account.
The Update process from 2012 would only be through our Professional Services group. From 2012, you would first need to update to 2013-2015 (none of which is currently available for download since they are all no longer supported products) then to 2016 or 2017, the to 2018 or 2019 - The problem will be in not have access to any 2013-2015 product to convert the data into which mean only our PS group, for a fee, will have to convert the data for you.
On the other hand - I do not recall the Asset List being blank ever being an issue in the 2012 version. What SFA Product do you have installed?

ok, that is under old defaults which if I recall correctly, try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\SageFAS\FAS Asset Account client\ and delete/rename the FASacct.xml file. on reopening the client that file will recreate and that just may help.
