Is there a limit to the number of rows you can have on the Check Register report when the destination is Excel?

Is there a limit to the number of rows you can have on the Check Register report when the destination is Excel?

Every day, I run the Check Register report for the whole year using the print destination of excel.  Today, when I ran it, the file would not open and I got the Microsoft Excel error about finding a problem with some content in the file.

However, if I shortened the date range the report opens fine.  There are less than 5,000 rows in the entire report so I don't think Excel is the problem.  Even though it is an xls as opposed to an xlsx that would still give me 66,000 rows.

We have had to increase just about everything in X3 (journals, invoices, etc.) so I am wondering if there is a setting where X3 thinks you will never need a check register greater than a few thousand rows that can be modified.

Thank you.
