Where's a good resource to learn more about this? I used SQL years ago but curious about the specifics for the X3 tool.

Hi, John. As mentioned Sage University offers multiple trainings that may assist in your understanding of using queries in Sage X3 (Common Tools, Sage X3 - Requestors, and an advance Requestors course while working with Views). Since you are looking for something specific to SQL, the course that may present itself the most value to you would be the Expert workshop entitled "Using Sage X3 SQL Views to create Requesters/Queries".

Additionally, SQL not being native to Sage X3, you will find many resources on structuring SQL statements online. With regards to how data is organized in Sage X3 (the "Schemas") you find information that outlines the Data models in the various modules by going into the online help, clicking "Technical help", then clicking Data models and choosing the X3 Module/Data model you would like to view.

Below is a link related to the Data model for the Sales Order in Sage X3that is defined in the systems online help.
