It's for all products but site specific. Also this situation applies only to management mode set to available stock not by order. By order is pretty straightforward.

I think your best bet is to update the MRP settings to not replan quantities for WOF documents.

Thanks but unfortunately we do need the replanning for other situations that occur. Is this typical behavior? By design? Seems odd that the algorithm doesn't recognize the balanced supply and demand inside of the one bucket. No safety stock involved here either.

MRP is analyzing the buckets for the supply and demand.  If the WOs are spread across multiple buckets, MRP isn't going to take it into account (though maybe the "coverage" feature is used, but I'd have to test that out).

The buckets are defined here in the MRP settings.  So here, in this example, if the WOs are in different weeks, it will only be seeing the demand and supply per week and then calculating the requirements for that week.

We're just weeks, no days or months. So, yeah the 3 WOF's and the SOF are in the same week)bucket).

When the product is available stock, MRP will suggest to advance/increase the first WO and cancel the extra two work orders.

Is 5000 also the minimum quantity to build for this product? If it is, maybe setup 5000 as the tech lot and change the reorder policy to allow lot splitting.
