Have you built out a graphical query and used this as a dashboard to keep visibility of these products and their expiry dates? 

not yet, we can see the report under stocks>inquiry>obsolete stock. This report gives the products already expired. I would like to see before it gets expired, so that users can take action. Is that easy to create graphical query? I am new to Sage X3

You should see a graphical query out of the box in X3 already setup. Graphical Query ID STO085. " Soon expired products"

Have checked the report, thanks. However, I am looking to see the products near to expiry.

Have you tried creating a report off of the STOLOT table, the expiry data is in that table SHLDAT.
