    Hi Sammylie,

Could you please provide more information? What version are you on? Can you post a screenshot of how your defined your destination? I have 3 Excel destinations with different Export formats.

Also, if your report uses a lot of groupings, Excel will not be able to translate your columns properly. So when you are designing your report in Crystal, it is important to keep it as simple as possible.

    Hello Shvidky,

    Thanks for your reply.

I guess it because i used grouping in my crystal report.

    Please find screen shot below.

The one alighted is the one am currently using and it doesn't make the report to be properly align.

    Thanks

Glad to hear that removing grouping in Crystal solved your issue. I would copy what you have and create two more excel options. We found that  Excel 97-2000 (extended) worked better and it is our default right now. However, my Excel1 destination uses Excel 97-2000 and Excel2 (workbook extended). Formatting can be pretty tricky, but workbook extended is used when you have too many lines and the first two formats throw errors.

From my experience - you shall carefully align all fields in Crystal report so, that there does not stay any empty space between them.

If there will be empty spaces - those will be transformed as an additional column in Excel. Same about rows - for example in Crystal Report  if fields will be indifferent high, it can lead to empty rows in Excel.
