Buy one, get one free! I love those sales. Things I never knew existed suddenly I need because after all it is, Buy one, Get one FREE! I am so excited just thinking about it. I thought about ending the blog here to go find one of those sales. The reality is those things need to be setup on the backend in X3 before a sale can happen. Let’s snap to it and configure X3 so I can go find a sale somewhere for something!!

In this blog our parent product will be a pair of jeans and we want to have a buy any amount of jeans and get one free sale. The first step is to set up a parent product, jeans. Go to Setup, Common data, Products, Products and Create a new product called Jeans and attach it to a Product-site.

Next go to Setup, Sales, Price lists, Setup and click on the Price/Free tab. In the Free section below, Free products select Same product from the dropdown. Save and validate the price list.

Then go to Sales, Price lists, Price list entry and create a new Price list.

Create a new Sales order with the product Jeans and the free product will be added onto the sales order.
