Secure Site access

SUGGESTED
Posted By FormerMember

When logging in to CRM, there is a notice in the address bar that the connection is not secure.  So, would seem prudent to configure it to use HTTPS instead of HTTP.  Assumption to do so would be to add an SSL certificate in IIS to be listed as a secure site.

However, Sage knowledgebase lists that IIS is a third-party software, and thus not supported. (Knowledgebase article #52510)

I'll try calling and seeing if their stance on this has changed, but if not, has anyone properly configured an SSL certificate to work with CRM for secure access internally AND externally?  IF so, how did you configure?

We use Sage CRM internally and I've wondered about this too, many times.  CRM contains sensitive confidential information and should absolutely be as secure as possible.

Not having guidance on how to use HTTPS with CRM seems like a major gap in core documentation.
