Is it possible to move Crew/Resources/Rate Tables from an estimate to the database?

SUGGESTED

I created Crews/Resources/Rate tables etc in a template estimate that I start from in each of my estimates. The other estimators prefer the way I have set things up and management likes the way I set up the rate tables so they can easily go in and update labor and equipment rates every year. I have been able to move just about everything from an estimate into a database except crews/resources/rate tables. Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to recreate it all in our database?

We are novices at timberline (used DOS version 25 year ago...) but have done same thing to get started.

    1. Create Labor and Equipment Resources in Estimate.  Be SURE you come up with a unique WBS that differentiates these preferred items from the ones existing and referred to in the Database of Items.  I used a 1_prefix for labor items and Corps of Engineers WBS for equipment.

    2.Assign Rates in Estimate.

    3. Data_Resource: Database radio button: ADD button:

-in dialog box click the three dots next to blank Resource

-in upper right click back to Estimate

    - pick the new resource, double click to prefill dialog box

    - hit OK on dialog box

should now have copied this Resource from Estimate to Database.

    4. We were not successful at copying any pricing, had to enter manually.

I don't like there's no notes per line item to reference source (e.g. which Union or prevailing wage sheet was used or what overtime rules apply.)

    5. I think can do same process for Crews.

The problem I have is when I double click to prefill dialog box, it doesn't. the dialog box closes like it worked but nothing gets populated in the name so if I hit OK, like your next step I get a pop up window that says "resource name is required"
