Trying to delete a commitment change order that has been approved and it is now grayed out. Is there a way to change from approved to pending or even deleting it? Thanks.
I have always had to do a reverse type entry to zero out the change.
I too have not been able to delete or revise a committed change order the way you uncommit/change/delete a PO.
as has been mentione I have had to enter a 2nd CO with negative quantities to cancel out the "mistake"
If there is not an invoice associated with the Comm. CO, it may be a permissions issue. We use PJ, and I am able to change the status of an open Comm CO to Void.
We used to have PJ but we weren't using it and decided to give up the license.
Hi Christina1,
Job Cost commitment change orders cannot be deleted or changed after they are approved. New change orders would need to be entered to reverse the original change, or to correct it.
One of the benefits of Project Management is to be able to edit or delete approved change orders and commitment change orders. It may be work exploring adding that back in just for that purpose.
I am very curious as to what is project management? Is that an add on program. Because I am forever changing reversing change orders it seems like.
Project Management is one of the Sage 300 CRE modules. It's used for created and tracking Submittals, RFIs, Transmittals, and other construction documents. It also has a more flexible change management system where you can make corrections to approved change orders on the fly, without having to undo and redo the work.
If you would like more information or a quote, PM me your account number.
Thanks!
