Direct Deposit

We are just going with direct deposit and i did a prenote to my bank but on the NACHA file that i sent to the bank, they rejected it and said the debit account was not on there. i have went to my cash management and the employer bank account number is there, why is my prenote not showing my debit account along with the credit accounts?

When generating direct deposits you have the option to send a balanced or unbalanced file. A balanced file includes an offsetting debit entry to your company's account (like a journal entry would). Knowledge Base ID# 48941 has detailed instructions on how to change this setting so that your NACHA file will generate with a debit entry.

I have done that and even regenerated my report and it still is not showing the debit entry. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When testing this we found that if all of the direct deposits are prenotes, there is a total of 0.00 in the file and the file does not include the offsetting debit entry.

If at least one of the direct deposits has an amount of at least .01, then the offsetting entry is added to the file.
