I am new to Sage installation. Installing an update on a new server and upgrading to the latest version. Having issues with SQL L

This is my first time installing updates to Sage. I have been on a pretty old version for awhile now waiting on my server replacement (old server was too old to be able to install the new version) I now have the new server and am ready to install the new version and when I got started it is asking to find the computer that has the data on it. I selected the server from the network list and it accepted that, however it then was trying to use the SQL from my estimating program Xactimate. I am not sure if that would be an issue or not but I was afraid to move forward from there and end up screwing up both programs!! Anyone on there have any suggestions? Unfortunately it is difficult to install while the office is open and when it is not, the customer support is closed for the day. So I thought I would try this. Any help would be appreciated.

    Capstone Construction, Not sure if you are still looking for guidance.  We have a LiveChat support that can help-best to get a ticket going there when you can.  In the meantime-we have an article you will need if you are trying to go to a new acting server.  But, if you are saying you are in the old platform version 19.8 (for example) there is an upgrade path.  You will need the MB7 folder with the data in it --on the new server to browse to when migrating that data in SQL for the first time.  But we also have specific instructions to install latest version 22.2.33  We do have many articles that you will most likely utilize--but to make it easier.  Just email me so we can connect [email protected]   I am in Support and Sage Expert Services.  Too many questions to just post step by step.

    Thank you very much!! Yes I believe we are currently on 19.8 We do have all the data etc. on the new server etc. as we have been using the old version on the new server for a couple of months until I had time to upgrade. I will email you and see what we can figure out. I am thinking Friday may be my best shot at getting this done as I am on the west coast and the time difference makes it so tech support is only available during my business hours. However we often close early on Friday so could make that work during those hours.
