Can't access a new company I set up

SUGGESTED

I set up and created the G/L files but can not access anything in the new company.  I get a message "  User does not have the appropriate security rights".  I can't even delete this new company to start over. Any ideas would be appreciated.

you must use the "MANAGER" level user and password and then assign users to the security of the new company

Yes - Vince is correct.  User rights are on a company-by-company basis, so when you create a new company, you also have to give users rights to that new company.  Note:  Sometimes you also may have to switch back to your old company, and while in the old company, access Maintain Users to update user rights.

When creating a new company ID, the default security setting is set to no access for all users except for MANAGER. Assign users the appropriate rights to the new company through Maintain Users.

    1. Log on with the MANAGER user ID or any other user ID with access to Maintain Users.
    2. Select File, Select Company. Select a company that you have access to.
    3. Select Utilities, Maintain Users. Select a user, and click Security Settings.
    4. Select the new company ID, and grant appropriate access rights. Save and exit.
