Upgrade issues... anyone else experiencing?

We did the upgrade from 2020 to 2021 yesterday and I've received the following from employees on items not functioning as before and/or general irritants:

  • ALL areas where notes are - Notes no longer wrap around, they do a long single line, requiring scrolling to view.
  • ALL areas where notes are - when you Insert Header, rather than the cursor following the header, it drops down to the line below.
  • AP -> Enter Invoices - if there is a field that has information, such as the account #, when you tab to it and wish to override, the system does not highlight the information, rather the cursor is placed at the beginning and if you type any information, it enters it in front of the information already in the field.
  • OE -> Maintain Sales Order, Part Lookup. When Searching, you are no longer to enter what you are searching for and hit return or tab to go to have the system perform the search. Instead, you must do the shortcut keys of Alt-N or use your mouse. More of an inconvenience than anything.
  • OE -> Maintain Sales Order - Tab order is incorrect
  • IC -> Maintain Parts -> Categories - tab order is incorrect, jumps over to the bottom, skipping the fourth option
  • IC -> Maintain Purchase Orders, along with Purchase Order Returns - when you perform a return, the system does not release the PO for editing in Maintain Purchase Orders until you completely close Purchase Order Returns (I believe this was a problem on the previous version as well)

We also have a license error but have contacted support and were made aware that it is in the works for receiving a hot fix. The errors we are receiving are ID# 6004 and ID# 4043. Both do not apply to our situation. Hopefully the fix is swift, as it does prevent some employees from working smoothly. If you are experiencing this, clearing the DB Register does the trick, though sometimes it requires the user to get out of BWG and back in, if not actually reboot their system.   • We are not able to change the posting date in Inventory Control > Transactions > Receipt Adjustments.

    I must say I am not very unhappy with the way Sage handled the 2021 Version update.  I've been using BW for about 20 years and have never experienced such an annoying update.  Granted, the errors I've notice and also posted about in another thread are not big, but they are inconvenient and time consuming.  The idea of using accounting software is to make your life easier and save time.  These necessary "Hot Fixes" are taking too long.
