I can only say that I don't see it on the V2020 Release notes (KB #102467).  However, for that issue you can go to the Knowledge Base at www.SageKB.com and pull up article #77684 "Page numbers are incorrect on custom forms and reports if the 'Page Set Desc' parameter is used".  Once in the article you can select to 'Subscribe to Document through email' and if there are changes to it, you would be notified.

    Thanks,

Hi Coleen, thank you for responding. I'm not happy at all about this because I have been asking to have this fixed for 5 years. It causes me issues with the contracts our salesman use and in one case it cost me a couple thousand dollars which I would gladly explain in a phone call. Once upon a time, per a Sage representative I wrote Sage about it and never heard a peep back, guess that was a waste of time. Anyways, what the heck, you guys know it doesn't work, why don't you fix it.? I mean with the complexity of programming, which I wont hesitate to admit is way over my head but I'm not in the software business, this should be an easy fix. You offer a feature in your program that you have 1 customer minimum that wants to use it.., needs to use it, but cant because you guys wont sit an employee down for an afternoon and empower her/him to make the fix.

While I'm at it: we use Base pricing. When we update the cost of a product we have to manually go in to every part and change the Base Price. We have thousands of items. That doesn't make sense to me, why isn't there a table we could set with our Product Lines that automatically changes the Base Price when there is a change in the cost of the part. There should be a margin multiplying factor we should be able to set for each product line that does this automatically. Amen.!

    Thanks, I await your response.!

Unfortunately, I have been told the page numbering has to do with the report writer that Sage BusinessWorks uses that creates issues with that feature. If you would like to see this feature considered for a future release please send your request to [email protected]. This is the best option to request changes in BusinessWorks.

As far a pricing options, there is a Pricing option “Line” that is used to define the pricing method by product line. If you set your parts pricing method to Line, when there is a change to the price for the product line, you only have to modify the Base Price amounts defined in the Product line, and those changes would apply to the parts assigned to that product line for pricing.

If you review Knowledge Base article (www.SageKB.com) How part pricing methods are defined and selected (30384) it defines the various Pricing Method available. You also may want to review How to update part prices (39271)

In addition, before making a change to your inventory, we would always recommending creating a backup of your company or create a copy company to test your changes or import to make sure you are getting the results you want for your company.

    Thanks,

    Coleen
