Thank you. The bookkeeper I worked with before was a wizard when it came to getting SAGE to do what she wanted. I might try to touch base with her and see how she accomplished it...thanks again for your time. If I can get her to divulge her secret I will certainly post it here.

Currently, Sage BusinessWorks still only allows numeric numbers up to 6 digits. I would think anything else would be something performed outside of the Sage BusinessWorks program since our system is only programmed to accept numeric values for check numbers. But if you hear of a 3rd party program that handles this, please let me know.

Unfortunately, I have no tips to offer for this issue, the Sage BusinessWorks system does not allow letters for the check #s. If you would like to see this feature to be considered for a future release, you can submit an enhancement request by sending an email to [email protected]. When submitting a request, always state your request as detailed as possible and the business reason for you request.
Thanks,
Coleen
I did remember they were using SAGE 100 -- it was the version that you designed and printed the checks out fully using the MICR ink...it was an interesting experience for sure !!
