Note about tax table updates:
It is OK to run a payroll without the tax update as the system is set to self-adjust the appropriate percentage based taxes, as long as the feature is turned on, during the next payroll run, Tax table updates should be installed AFTER you have processed your W-2s. The tax table updates will include any changes to social security (OASDI) limits which could affect processing of W-2s for employees who exceeded the OASDI limit. Make sure you have finished processing W-2s before you install any tax table update. Percentage based taxes such as OASDI, Medicare, FUTA, SUI or SDI will self-adjust, as long as the feature is turned on. Any table driven taxes such as Federal or State income tax withholding will not automatically self-adjust on any future payrolls.
